Senior BAS Accountant:

Bring your wealth of experience and knowledge to this well established medium sized CA firm in West Auckland. An opportunity to work closer to home in this modern office which has a family orientated feel, the ability to work flexi-time and plenty of opportunity to grow. You will be a real go-getter, have a positive outlook and great work ethics. This role is newly created due to growth in client base. With your years of experience you will be able to hit the ground running and churn through your work which will encompass:

  • Preparation of Financial Statements
  • Looking after your portfolio of clients, client facing meetings, building strong trusting relationships
  • Tax returns, GST returns and FBT returns
  • Compliance accounts
  • Servicing complex clients

Intermediate BAS Accountant:

In this position you be joining a boutique CA practice of highly qualified and experienced Chartered Accountants and Business Consultants based in the heart of Auckland City. The firm is led by two really approachable Directors who have a wealth of wisdom and experience (they enjoy sharing their knowledge with their staff and encourage growth and development).   The team is friendly, it is a low pressure environment, with an open door policy, a good mix of work life balance, and the team enjoy a few social activities together.

In this Intermediate BAS role you will provide business services and sound advice to clients in a professional manner, ensuring strong relationships are maintained. Your typical day will encompass a variety of duties including:

  • Direct involvement in Business Services work for your clients
  • Preparation of Financial Statements
  • Tax returns, GST returns and FBT returns
  • Compliance accounts for Trusts, Sole Traders, Partnerships and Companies
  • Management accounts

To be successful for either of the above positions we are seeking CV’s from those with the following skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor of Commerce / Economics / Business with a major in Accounting gained in New Zealand – this is essential
  • Completed your CA Qualification
  • Previous New Zealand experience in a Business Advisory Services role involving tax returns, financial statements and GST issues
  • Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Suite
  • Confident user on MYOB, MYOBAO, MYOBAE, Banklink, Xero
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong time management skills
  • Proven experience serving complex clients
  • Driven, self-motivated, keen to add value and grow
