About the company

Work with a company that supplies quality products to the plumbing, civil drainage and concrete cutting industries. Due to growth the Auckland office now needs an Internal Sales / Sales Support person to provide assistance to the General Manager. With offices also in Australia you will have regular contact via phone with the team there, however the office in Auckland compromises of the General Manager (who has a wealth of experience and is an awesome guy too!) and yourself; so it is absolutely essential you are comfortable working alone. There is a real opportunity to share your ideas and put your own personal stamp on this brand new role. Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Database maintenance
  • Provide quotes from supplied construction plans
  • Follow up on quotes – close off the sale
  • Pass on any potential sales leads to the General Manager
  • Respond to any customer queries providing product advice
  • Follow up on any outstanding debtors
  • Stock management
  • General administration and support to the General Manager
  • Liaise with colleagues in Australia
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction to ensure repeat business

To be suitable for this very important role you will have previous selling experience within a related industry, along with top notch customer service and administration skills. Other key attributes that will ensure you are the right fit include:

  •  Strong organisational ability with a high level of attention to detail
  • Professional and the ability to build strong relationships
  • Confident on Word, Excel and PowerPoint – intermediate to advanced knowledge
  • Have a drivers licence and your own reliable vehicle
  • Naturally confident, driven, motivated and have plenty of initiative
  • Able to self-manage and work on your own
  • Well presented with excellent communication
  • Previous experience within construction/engineering/electrical/drain laying/plumbing or similar industries preferred
  • Comfortable reading construction plans / drawings
