Join this leading database and wine search engine company; with a large worldwide customer base that relies on its vast array of knowledge and expertise.  Due to the business growing and expanding this newly created role has opened up, from which they seek an experienced Wine Business Analyst. Working cohesively within a team will be second nature to you as you will regularly be working closely with the Social Media Manager, Wine Writers, Editors, Researchers and the wider team. You will be involved in a variety of projects; no two days will be the same. As the role is newly created you have the ability to make it your own and mark your stamp on it; typically the array of duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Identify information for the Content Writers through extensive search methods
  • Forecasting / Trends Analysis
  • Data analysis
  • Research and gather information from press releases
  • Preparing data-based pricing and demand reports
  • Administering and analysing queries of the wine and search database
  • Research initiatives

To be suitable for this very important and newly created role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Advanced user in the Microsoft Suite, particularly in Excel, Access and familiarity with SQL advantageous
  • Able to work autonomously and also cohesively within a team
  • Excellent articulate communicator with exceptional writing skills
  • A strong understanding of wines (internationally
  • Good knowledge and understanding of online/digital space
  • Driven, good organisational ability and attention to detail
  • Tertiary qualification in Economics or Planning
  • Exceptional numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to achieve results and manage priorities
  • The ability to build and manage strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Curious and forward thinking
