This Maori Business Unit (MBU) team is focused on creating growth and value for its portfolio of Maori businesses, farms, trusts, committees, and shareholders. They work closely with businesses to develop a trusted advisor relationship through their unique and personalised approach to dealing with the individual and unique challenges facing New Zealand Maori businesses today. Your role is to share knowledge and provide guidance, helping various sized Maori enterprises grow and succeed. This team are passionate about both the success of their clients and joining them on their business journey.
You will work in the Maori Business Unit (MBU) team assisting in the preparation of management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, improving business performance efficiencies, preparation of financial statements and tax returns, and playing a crucial role in business strategy conversations. The role will involve being the first point of contact with clients and other external stakeholders.
To succeed in this role you will have:
- 3-5 years accounting / business advisory experience
- Studying/working towards a CA qualification.
- Proven ability to building strong relationships with clients
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- An energetic and proactive attitude
- Experience in managing priorities and delivering deadlines
