This is a newly created Financial Controller role with scope for growth and development. Reporting to the CFO, you will provide leadership and expert advice on all aspects of accounting including cashflow management, financial and regulatory reporting, internal control policies and procedures, risk and debt management, tax and statutory obligations, strategic planning and more. This is your opportunity to make an impact by influencing decision making to drive performance & profitability.
In conjunction with being responsible for the financials, this position will see you accountable for communicating, implementing, and managing continuous improvement initiatives and strategies to promote profit and success. Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to strategic planning and development of financial strategy
- Staff management
- Provide timely financial and commercial reporting
- With the CFO, develop, implement, and review budgets, cash flow, forecasts, operational KPI’s and strategic plans
- Analysis across the entire business incorporating opportunities and risk assessments
- Regular financial reporting, management accounting and statutory compliance
- Statutory and legal compliance requirements, filing of annual accounts, income tax and GST returns
- Project work
This is a hands-on Financial Controller role, you must be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. We are looking for a qualified Financial Controller that wants to work local (Palmerston North) and to be involved in an entrepreneurial, forward thing and growing business.
