Assistant Accountant – 6-month contract

This well-established company is looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant for a 6-month contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will have accountability, ownership, and responsibility for your role.
This Assistant Accountant role is varied and diverse; duties and responsibilities will include:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Credit control
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Payroll, weekly for 4 people
- IRD returns
- Cash-flow management
- Preparation of financial reports
- End of month and end of year functions
To be successful within this role, you will have at least 3-5 years’ experience in an accounts role having undertaken all functions including AP, AR, GST, Reconciliations, End of Month and End of Year tasks. Along with exceptionally high attention to detail and accuracy and you will be capable of working in an autonomous role adhering to high standards and expectations.
