The Adult Community Education (ACE) programme offers a diverse range of courses across multiple sites, helping adults upskill, gain confidence, and enrich their lives. About the Role
The role of Director of Adult Community Education is to plan, organise and administer funding to deliver lifelong learning opportunities to the community. The courses run from multiple school sites both during the day and in the evening. The Community Education Programme in an integral part of the High School, it is an important revenue stream and important for to the community.
As the Director of Adult Community Education, you will:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple adult learning programmes
- Recruit, mentor and support tutors and staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture
- Manage funding applications, reporting and compliance with the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC)
- Build strong stakeholder relationships with community groups, schools, and national ACE networks to expand opportunities
- Lead and execute marketing initiatives across digital, print and social media to grow enrolments
- Oversee programme planning, budgets and administration with accuracy and transparency
- Contribute to professional networks and represent the high school in national initiatives that strengthen adult learning
This is a pivotal leadership role that combines strategic vision, operational excellence, and a commitment to community development and adult education.
