High School Hospitality Manager – Part time hours

What more could you want? This role works Monday to Friday during school hours during the school term. That’s correct, you won’t be working during the school holidays. Bliss!
This is the perfect role for you to apply your proven hospitality / catering background. You and your team of two others will present a friendly, efficient, and professional image to the staff, students, and wider school community whilst undertaking a range of duties and responsibilities including:
DAILY MANAGEMENT AND RUNNING OF THE SCHOOL CANTEEN
- Daily food prep and lunch time service
- Inventory, stock takes, order stock
- Meet with suppliers
- Invoicing
- Customer service and complaints
- General cleaning and upkeep of canteen
- Organise in-house catering as required
DAILY MANAGEMENT OF THE KA ORA, KA AKO HEALTHY LUNCHES IN SCHOOL PROGRAM
- Positive working relationship with suppliers (Subway and Pita Pit)
- Student dietary requirement management
- Daily management of lunches being delivered
- Communication with suppliers about school closures and trips
- Complaint management
- Reporting to principal – how the program is going, issues, changes etc.
- End of term survey
- Management of staff helping to distribute lunches
- Community outreach – distributing uneaten food into the community
CARE OF STAFFROOM AND ADMINISTRATIVE KITCHEN
- Daily checks that the benches and tables are clean, dishwashers are emptied and refilled
- Fridge is cleared of previous days’ lunches (from lunch program)
- Order stock as required
- Milk ordered from Bidfresh 2-3 times weekly
