About the role 

This position is focused on providing a high level of customer service to a client base of over 1000, achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction in order for the company to retain its competitive edge. Every day will be busy, challenging and rewarding.

The range of duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately advising customers of stock availability
  • Create customer quotes and orders
  • Contact customers immediately if a supply or delivery problem arises
  • Provide customers with solutions for supply and delivery problems
  • Providing high level service to customers via telephone, e-mail, Internet, fax
  • Further developed customer relationships
  • Send email and delivery confirmations to customers
  • Enter freight notes, credits, invoices and update inventories
  • Help out with dispatch if required

Skills & experience

 To be successful in this position you have the following skills and experience:

  • A strong customer focus and desire to provide a high level of customer service
  • Previously have worked in a phone based customer service role
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • A can-do and willing attitude
  • Take accountability and ownership for your role and actions
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Be flexible and able to work with changing demands and circumstances
  • Intermediate / advanced knowledge using Microsoft Office suite
