Office Manager / Accounts Administrator

Be the person that keeps the office running for this a successful design company, who have been in the market for more than two decades providing design solutions to large well-known companies. With down to earth, approachable directors, who will rely on you to be their left hand person.
Based in modern funky offices in Eden Terrace; this is an exciting sole charge office manager role for someone who prides themselves on always been on top of things, has a proactive nature, can work well in a reactive environment juggling multiple tasks and working with changing priorities. Opportunities like this do not come along often.
This is varied role involves the following tasks and duties:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Manage monthly payroll & PAYE
- Prepare GST and other statutory returns
- Invoicing, statements and banking
- Supplier reconciliations and month end journals
- Credit Control
- Coding into a Job Management programme, data entry and payments
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Year-end accounts reports
- Building Warrant of Fitness
- Look after tenants/invoices
- Order office stationery and office supplies
- Follow up for purchase order numbers
- Close off completed jobs
- Set up new customers, suppliers and projects in database
- Ensure the office operates smoothly, effectively and efficiently
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Experience in accounts AP, AR and Payroll
- Have knowledge and understanding of the procedures required to file GST
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Moneyworks or a similar accounting package
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office experience
- Conscientious, punctual, organised and honest
- Be able to work autonomously and be a strong team player
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Have positive, down to earth attitude, and a good sense of humour
- Ability to use a MAC would be advantageous
