About this role:

Get out of the city and join this well-known and reputable company on the North Shore, in a role where you will be responsible for end to end processing of payroll activities, as well as putting together employment schedules and agreements for the HR Department. This is a sole charge role, and one you can really put your stamp on.

Your typical duties and responsibilities will include:

  • End to end processing of weekly and bi-monthly payroll for 70+employees
  • Calculating commission
  • PAYE returns and deductions
  • Maintenance of employment contracts and employee files
  • General administration

Skills & experience

To be successful in the role you will possess the following competencies:

  • Experience processing end to end payroll for 70+ people
  • A working knowledge of NZ payroll requirements and legislation
  • Strong reconciliation skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be a team player, but also be able to work autonomously
  • Have advanced level Excel skills
  • Be highly organised and deadline driven
  • Be proactive, motivated and focused
  • Be able to pick up new systems quickly
  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of nous and common-sens
