Within this role of Policy and Procedures Advisor, you will undertake a multi-faceted range of duties and responsibilities including:
- Assess, develop and where required rebuild of the organisation’s master QMS framework and policies to ensure QMS policies and processes connect with each other across the organisation’s different work programmes.
- Review and update existing QMS policies, processes, and tools so they are fit for purpose and comply with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Draft new or rewrite existing QMS policies.
- Research material to ensure QMS policies and processes are compliant with relevant documentation and legislation.
- Provide clear communication to all staff on how QMS is used, including providing guidance and support to staff on QMS matters, including updating all relevant documentation in SharePoint system to enable quick and easy accessibility of all QMS documents.
- Support the implementation of new or amended QMS policies, processes and tools, including the implementation of ongoing quality assurance reviews, programming audits and reports and establish a change management implementation process and a process for continuous improvement.
- Maintain positive relationships with staff so they accept and contribute to the improvement of the organisations QMS.
To be successful in this Policy and Procedures Advisor role you will be:
- A self-starter.
- Able to bring a policy and legal perspective and understanding on how QMS policies and processes meet legislative, regulatory and the organisations work programme requirements.
- Experienced in (able to) research material for drafting policies to support work programmes.
- Able to approach problems practically.
- Able to apply a structural and systemic approach when reviewing and rebuilding current QMS libraries.
- Maintain consistent standards across different QMS policies.
- Skilled in identifying how to develop detailed plans for connecting QMS policies and processes across different parts of organisations structure to ensure work programmes are connected to support different but connected work streams.
- Capable of identifying flaws in existing policies and processes.
- Understanding of the importance of processes.
- Excellent with written and oral communication skills, able to simply explain verbally or in writing a complex issue.
