You will be joining a CA practice of highly qualified and experienced Chartered Accountants and Business; the firm is led by two really approachable Directors who have a wealth of wisdom and experience (they enjoy sharing their knowledge with their staff and encourage growth and development). The team is friendly, it is a low pressure environment, with an open door policy, a good mix of work life balance, and the team enjoy a few social activities together.
About the role
Within this role you will provide US Tax Services and advice to clients in a professional and efficient manner whilst building and developing strong customer relationships and loyalty. The role will also encompass some involvement in NZ tax and business services. The main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of US taxation returns for NZ individual residents who are US citizens or Greencard holders
- Preparation of NZ Financial Statements, Tax returns, GST returns and FBT returns
- Ensuring compliance with the various tax and financial regulations
Skills & experience
To be successful in this role we are seeking someone who has:
- Experience with New Zealand income tax
- Experience with US tax or a keen interest in learning US tax
- MYOB AO, Xero and Banklink exposure desirable
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good decision making skills and plenty of initiative
- Excellent numerical accuracy
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- I.T savvy and can pick up new software with ease
