Highly reputable Legal firm is recognised both locally and internationally as one of the leading intellectual property firms in Australasia. They are in search for a professional and hardworking individual with a minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a legal secretary role. You will be assisting and supporting a Senior Partner (autonomous one on one role).  Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Type and prepare legal documents and correspondence
  • Diary management
  • Proof read documents
  • Arrange meetings internally and externally
  • Prepare client invoices
  • Update and maintain the database
  • Complete patent applications
  • Review file charges
  • Complete and update forms
  • Administration

The ideal candidate for this role will have an exceptional personality, great sense of humour and excellent attention to detail with the ability to pre-empt the needs of others and always with a smile. You will have the following skills, experiences and attributes:

  • Dictaphone typing
  • Can touch type at least 50 wpm
  • Experience in a Legal firm as a Legal Secretary / Administrator
  • Competent using Microsoft Office and excel
  • Quick learner with new systems
  • Able to build and maintain professional working relationships
  • Leadership qualities
  • Confident, ‘can-do’ attitude
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Makes good use of your initiative and common sense
  • High standards of confidentiality, discretion and trustworthiness
  • Can work well under pressure
