Part time Bookkeeper and Office Administrator

Due to the current Bookkeeper/Administrator going on an OE, this position has come available working in a small Accounting Firm with a strong, well-respected reputation in the market.

In this part time role you will be the go to person overseeing the company’s internal accounts, payroll and administration. Other duties and tasks will include:

  • Cashbook maintenance and GST returns and regular correspondence with Inland Revenue
  • Monthly management accounts and reporting, including GST and PAYE returns
  • Update and maintain Cashflow forecasts
  • Accounts Payables and Receivable
  • Billing
  • Payroll
  • Annual budgeting
  • Trust banking
  • Reception support
  • Ordering supplies
  • Liaising with Building Manager
  • Assisting administration tasks related to client accounts
  • Trust account administration and compliance

You will be process driven, with high attention to detail, and will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: 

  • Working knowledge of Xero
  • Have previously worked in a similar role
  • Intermediate Excel skills and a love for spreadsheets
  • A flexible and adaptable can-do attitude
  • Be open to change and learning new things
  • Be open minded and have a mature attitude
  • A very good grasp of English, both written and verbal
  • Be deadline driven
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask in order to meet deadlines
  • Work autonomously and able to work in a team
  • High attention to detail is essential
  • Works well under pressure
  • Be polished and professional

You will work with supportive directors, in a corporate yet family orientated environment and a close-knit team, with the opportunity to advance your accounts knowledge and career. This role is 25 hours per week, which can be worked over 4 or 5 days, (Monday to Friday) and you can start work at 8am and finish as late as 5.30pm, so the hours that you do between these times are up to you.
